Join Defense Forensic's Rob Walensky and former Department of Justice Law Enforcement Agent Greg Phillips in this week's episode of "Digital Forensics, Redefined." Listen to stories of Greg & Rob's careers in law enforcement from the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Greg is a retired Senior Special Agent with 27 years in Law Enforcement and has been a firearms Instructor for approximately 28 years. He spent 4 years in the United States Army, completed basic training at Fort Polk, and then was transferred to Fort Benning in Georgia. After completing a series of training, he was assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division of America's Guard of Honor. From there, he went to Fort Braff, then Washington D.C., where he was assigned to the 3rd Platoon, the Firing Party Platoon.
He started his Law Enforcement career with the Bloomfield Township Police in Walworth County, Wisconsin. From there, he was asked to join the Lake Geneva Police Department and then sent to the Wisconsin Department of Justice of Narcotics Drug Investigation School. He was also assigned as a Detective to the State Line Area Narcotics Task Force, which gave him jurisdiction in Wisconsin and Illinois. He finished his career at the Wisconsin Department of Justice as a Special Agent, where his primary investigation was drug crimes of statewide importance. He was involved in many undercover operations and trained many new agents for the state.
