Get Out of the Boat

Sunday, September 29, 2024 – Pastor Leland Hart is preaching a message titled “Get out of the Boat.” In this message, he encourages us to know that God’s Holy Spirit is with us in every storm of our lives. In the text of Matthew 14:22-33, he references when Jesus sent the disciples ahead of him as He went up to pray after a big day of ministry. Here are a couple of key points: 1. Jesus needed to pray and recharge Himself after a day of ministering to the crowds – If Jesus needed to pray, how much more do we? 2. Jesus knew He was sending His disciples into a storm before they got in the boat – He also knows about your storms before they come. So, what should we do? Pastor Leland encourages us to realize that just as Jesus knew about the storms the disciples would face, He also knows about the storms in our lives, so take heart and fear not. He also wants you to have the faith of Peter and get out of the boat, walk on the storm, and into the arms of Jesus. Peace and refuge are waiting for you—worship and study along with us.
