As the world celebrated the impact of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. this week, "Fearless" contributor Virgil Walker took a deeper dive into Dr. King's theological and social gospels and reached a rather unpopular conclusion about the influence of the man whose name is synonymous with the civil rights movement. King’s version of the gospel was more influenced by a 20th-century German-American theologian from New York than by the Bible. Virgil’s conclusion: “King did not believe in the deity of Christ or that he rose from the dead. In addition, he also rejected the doctrines of virgin birth, the second coming of Christ, and the existence of a literal hell.” Pastor Anthony Walker and Professor Delano Squires join "Fearless" to debate Virgil’s assessment of the legacy of Dr. King. The first lady of "Fearless," Shemeka Michelle, shares her thoughts on Boston’s MLK statue. Plus, Steve Kim has a message for Lamar Jackson, Robert Griffin III, and Tom Brady.
