As travelers on this journey, there comes a time when we are called to step into our power. But what does this look like when we find that society already has a notion of what power and leadership are? This "friction" results in us finding ourselves embodying power in a way that feels inauthentic. Personally and transparently, it took me a long time to realize that my true power and my voice come from me living in my full truth. I speak about my experiences in a way that feels good for me and that is enough. This journey of embodying one's power is uncomfortable and can bring up a lot of emotions, but what if we could make room for what comes? What if the sensations we experience were meant to be felt and released? Today’s guest is someone that has truly leaned in and explored her source of power and how it shows up. Join Alexia Vernon and I for a beautiful conversation on tapping into the power of your voice. Tune in to hear more about her business and mission in life: ‘Step into Your Moxie®’, her childhood and how it has influenced her ability to use her voice, and why her greatest desire is to give permission for different styles of leadership and communication to feel validated and worthy.

Meet the Artist: Alexia Vernon

Alexia Vernon is a sought-after speaker, coach, consultant and media contributor based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Whether she is keynoting a conference, leading a spotlight speaker coaching program or delivering her Step into Your Moxie® curriculum, her work is showing entrepreneurs, business leaders, consultants and change makers how to fall (back) in love with their voices. Alexia believes that heart-centered, high impact communication and unshakeable stage presence is more about the inner work than it is about finding the right words. Therefore, she dedicates her life to teaching women entrepreneurs how to walk into any room, any conversation, at any stage and unapologetically speak up for themselves and the issues they believe in. Alexia is the author of Step into Your Moxie: Amplify Your Voice Visibility, and Influence in the World. She is the creator and leader of multiple speaker training programs and has delivered transformational keynotes and corporate trainings for Fortune 500 companies and professional associations. She has spoken at the United Nations, delivered a TEDx talk on the future of feminism, and been featured by media including CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Inc., and Women’s Health. She is a mom and runs her business, Alexia Vernon Empowerment, LLC, with her partner in business and in life, Stephen Oliveira.

Listen in as Alexia shares:

  • Why she is no longer looking for work-life balance (and what works instead)
  • How her voice has shifted over the last 18 months and why she believes this is her super power
  • Why stagefright is about more than just speaking
  • The profound experience that taught her the importance of standing in her truth
