This is a special episode about a very important part of the 1980s culture-classic vehicles. Today's show marked what would have been my Father's 85th birthday. He left me 22 years ago and it never gets any easier. I talk of the few experiences Dad and I did have together during the 80's to include two of the best experiences in my life, even to this day...our 1968 Ford Ranger F-100 pickup and his agreeing to custom dual exhaust and custom wheels and tires for that beauty. Old cars and trucks were such a huge part of the 1980s culture in America. I had lots of freedom that most of my friends did not have. It was not until a few years ago, many years after my passed away that I truly came to the realization that my Dad had absolutely did the best thing any Father could have done for a child in a bad home life with the type of mother we had and that was give me a vehicle and give me freedom to stay away from home to avoid the issues that always lurked at home. He had absolutely looked out for me kept me safe....this is for you Dad, I love and miss you and appreciate your insight that escaped me for so long.
