Based in Richmond, Virginia, Jamar grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and attended four different high schools across three states during his formative years. With a background influenced by his father’s career in marketing and his own 11-year stint as a hip-hop artist, Jamar transitioned from music to marketing after an injury cut his music career short.
