A 'warrior princess' is how this week's special guest Asma Khan - celebrity chef, author and restaurateur - has seen herself and from a young age this has shaped her life and incredible success. Hot off the heels of the King and Queen visiting her restaurant, we hear about what drives her to lift other women up, her self-doubt, why women shouldn't be forever apologising and how she sees food as a way of giving back especially in Ramadan.
We continue our conversations about women's power with Henrietta Szovati, our Ramadan BFF. This week it's about power in the home: what are the many different roles women play and how to be our centred selves, the same person whether we are mother, wife, sister, aunt, daughter or more. We consider how culture affects our households and the unique cultures we create in them as well as the value of nourishing and caring.
Plus, Hana and Iman are here to share their wisdom in our segment hearing what the girls have to say about power and the home. What makes them feel valued and respected, are their power dynamics between different siblings and parents, and who or what really holds the most power in the home? Their answer might surprise you!
Family friendly listening with a huge helping of Ramadan power.
