Does education matter when you are dating? Does your partner have to have the same educational background that you have in order for you both to be compatible? If you have a Masters Degree should you only date someone who has attained the same level of education? How does this play out in the Queer Community and for Women of Color? On this episode, host Julia Curtis-Burnes is joined by Student Filmmaker and friend, Gilberte Saint-Preux. Julia and Gilberte discuss their own backgrounds, journeys in education and career pursuits, family expectations and how those expectations play out when looking for a partner and dating. Does education matter in the longevity of a relationship and for partners to feel an equal balance or is it just a plus? Do we limit ourselves by making lists for potential mates or does it help us in the long run and when we raise children?
