Let’s be honest. Most of us would find it inexplicably painful to go back to those times when we were abandoned by someone important. Needless to say that if it happened when you were carrying a little life inside you, it would seem like an eternity pushing through the days!
I know it, and I’ve been there. But let me tell you this. I could snap the pain after a few empowering sips of reality -- I realized that being abandoned also meant I had the GIFT of freedom. I could keep negative emotions away from mine and my child’s life. Isn’t it much better off feeling alone than stuck or unsafe?
In today’s episode, I share with you how I overcame the pain of abandonment during and after the first few months of my pregnancy. Him leaving us wasn’t abandonment; it was true liberation. I felt at ease with his decisions and am at a better place with my emotions and health today.
