As we expand our understanding of the word prayer, we begin to see it not just as a quiet wish or whispered plea to a superbeing up in the sky, but also as the expression of our deepest hopes, and with that realization comes a profoundly spiritual question: if we truly long for something, must we also take part in bringing it to life?

Last week, Jeff helped us see how self-realization and working through our struggles can become a type of prayer—personal growth and healing can be spiritual acts. In this way, self-help isn’t separate from prayer; it can be a type of prayer.

This week, we’re taking that idea even further—out of our minds and into our lives. Into our homes. Into the way we spend our time, our energy, our resources.

Because maybe prayer isn’t just something we think—maybe it’s something we do. Maybe it’s in our hands and feet, in the way we move through the world. Maybe prayer is how we live.
