S3E9 - Rig Mods and Maintenance - Should you DIY or Buy?
Manage episode 286136629 series 2580825
On this episode of the podcast/vlog, I do a lot of my own maintenance and modifications. I even build a lot of my own rig mods and make changes to my gear to optimize it for my use. But, is that always the right decision?
When does it make sense to DIY and when does it just make more sense to buy a piece of gear? When does it make sense to do your own maintenance or take it to a dealership or repair shop?
On this episode, I'm talking about my opinions, but that's just what they are, opinions. I'd love to hear you post up in the comments with what you think! Everyone's opinions will be different based on experience, expertise, availability of work space and tools, and more. So, let me know what you think!
A huge thanks to my featured partners:
Overland Addict (any type of Overlanding gear you could want): https://bit.ly/3ncqz4R
The Last US Bag Company (great quality Overlanding bags, check them out!): https://bit.ly/33sU1f4
Northology Adventures (Sign up for their FREE monthly magazine and check out their events!): https://bit.ly/3iww7Ue
Lots of people have asked how they can support the channel, so I've now got morale patches and stickers!
I'm rebuilding the website currently, so just shoot me an email at allthingsoverlanding@gmail.com and I'll hook you up!
