Hello, friends. In this episode, I answer two questions related to preventing serial cheating and dealing with compliments after weight loss when they leave you feeling negative and upset.

Question 1:

Hi Robert,

I recently discovered your podcast and I’m so grateful for your insights and knowledgeable advice. Thank you for all that you do.

I am struggling with coming to terms with my past when it comes to cheating on my partners. I have been married twice, and I ended up cheating on both partners. I really do not want to repeat this pattern and I’m not sure how to give myself tools to avoid these situations in the future. Both marriages had very different issues, but in general I’m also realizing I am extremely conflict avoidant. I also recently stopped drinking alcohol in hopes that will help me avoid temptation in moments of weakness. If you have any advice or suggestions they would be greatly appreciated.

Question 2:

To my question: w/short back story. 34 year old female married(for 8 years) to my wonderful husband. No children(i do not want them) & one Frenchie Pierre! I have been on a weight loss journey for just about 11 months. I have never struggled with my weight till about 5-6 years ago. #emotional eating hits different as I get older. Weight loss has brought on people complimenting me on how “great I look”. Although I am aware it’s a compliment it is very hurtful to me. I think things like did they not think I was pretty when I was heavier? Do I deserve different treatment now? I already get a lot of judgement as I am a female that does not want kids. My husband is wonderful and reminds me people are just being kind and I am beautiful at any weight as long as I am happy with myself. Which I am and very proud of myself as I like to say ”weight loss is NOT for the light-hearted” My question is any thoughts on how I can redirect my thoughts in a more positive manner? Thanks!
