COL (Ret.) Scott Benza was one of the first to put his boots on the ground at Karshi-Khanabad (K2), Uzbekistan in 2001. As a Contracting Officer with an Enviromental background, COL Benza offers a unique and sobering account of what United States officials allowed to happen to our Brothers and Sisters in uniform...again. COL Benza never lost sight of his mission or goals though, which made him have to put his health last. COL Benza came to terms that he would have to "suffer in silence", but know this COL Benza, your time of suffering in silence has come to an end. May God bless you for your strength and perseverance. May all Americans hear that the United States Government continues to allow us to be poisoned and then requires us, the troops to fight to prove what they have allowed to happen yet again. If Americans support our service, then they should certainly support Veterans when we beg to stop being poisoned while we are deployed.
