Stephanie’s family came from the Canary Islands 🏖 by way of Mexico to Texas over 100-plus years ago. She’s the first Latina rum producer in the state of Texas and beyond. We discuss how to ask for help as you embark on any new adventure and in her case how they jump into brand building and distribution as a new brand picked up from RNDC Texas by way of LibDib! She’s built and sold businesses as big as nearly 700 people and owned and run a music 🎶 venue to help revive Deep Ellum, in Dallas, TX. She then moved to Austin to recharge and think about her new venture. Soon after, she found her place as an owner with Island Getaway Rums, and she never looked back.
Stephanie is a strong 💪 entrepreneur, dedicated to not only her brand but also an activist in celebrating 🎇 and lifting up other women and Latina-owned companies. She truly believes when you help one grow you help them all rise up together.
