We will explore the myths, the legends and the murders that surround a home on Long Island New York. The quiet town of Amityville became front page news in 1974, when six members of one family were murdered in their sleep. No one knew who could have done such a horrific deed, until the police arrested the oldest son, Ronald Defeo Jr. Would the town of Amityville ever be the same? Eighteen months later, the home with the sign in the front yard that read "High Hopes" was sold to George and Kathy Lutz. Kathy had three children from a previous marriage. The five of them moved into what they thought was going to be their dream home, their forever home. After just 28 days, the Lutz family would flee for their lives from what became their nightmare.
