The birding brothers host Dr J. Drew Lanham. Dr Lanham is a poet and professor of wildlife biology at Clemson University. He is noted for his article "9 Rules for the Black Birder in Orion Magazine" and his books: "The Home Place: Memoirs of a Colored Man's Love Affair with Nature" and "Sparrow Envy".
