The second XFL game at Pacific Bell Park in San Francisco drew another near-sellout crowd of about 34,000, but the host Demons lost to the Las Vegas Outlaws, 16-9. Outlaws quarterback Mark Grieb hit Mike Furrey with a 41-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter to put Las Vegas (3-1) up by 13-9. Mike Pawlawski was 25/35 with one TD and a pick but San Francisco head coach Jim Skipper felt the offense needed a "spark" so he replaced Mike with backup Pat Barnes who was basically ineffective.
