Much is made about the creative decisions in ads for the Big Game, but how does all that money, those requisite celebrity cameos, and everything else that goes into these multi-million dollar investments translate into Return on investment? Today we’re going to talk about what the numbers tell us from all those high-profile ads and who the winners and losers of the Advertising Bowl are in 2025. To help me discuss this topic, I’d like to welcome Nataly Kelly, CMO at Zappi, who unveiled their annual Super Bowl Ad Success report on Monday. We’re here to talk about the approach, the results, and what those results mean for brands that invested a lot of money - and time - into their campaigns. Navigating suffering, faith, and medical care can be challenging, especially when faced with life-altering illnesses or depression. In a world where suffering takes many forms, some struggles are outwardly visible, while others remain hidden. Depression is one such quiet suffering that can leave individuals feeling isolated and hopeless. In a recent conversation, Dr. Kathryn Butler , a trauma surgeon turned homeschool mom and author, shared her personal experience with depression and offered wisdom on how we can think about it biblically, encourage one another, and find hope in the darkness. Dr. Butler shares insights on the importance of caring for the whole person (body and soul), the role of faith in suffering, and how stories can bring clarity and hope in the midst of hard times. Whether you’re grappling with personal struggles or supporting a loved one, this discussion offers encouragement, practical guidance, and a gospel-centered perspective on suffering and healing. Science is more than just a collection of facts and theories; it's a dynamic story of discovery and innovation. And, ultimately, science leads us to worship our Creator in deeper ways. In my recent conversation with nuclear chemist (and homeschool science curriculum author) Dr. Jay Wile, we delve into why a chronological approach to teaching science can offer a richer, more integrated learning experience. By exploring the lives and contributions of key scientists through history, we not only understand scientific concepts better but also appreciate the development of human knowledge. Homeschooling parents seeking to inspire a love for science in their children will be encouraged and equipped by this episode. Today’s guest podcaster is Katie Waalkes from Life in the Mundane. Katie is a second generation homeschooler married to her high school sweetheart for almost 15 years. Together they have 6 kids. She has been homeschooling for over a decade and has experience in homeschooling children who are neurotypical as well as kids with Autism, ADHD, Auditory Processing Disorder, Dyslexia, Hearing Impairments, & Other Medical Needs. Her own ADHD diagnosis has helped her understand her kids better & allows her to adapt and pivot as needed for her chaotic life. Her passion is helping other homeschool families who don't fit in the box realize that God did not make a mistake when He put them in the families they are in. She loves to share about the flexibility and the individualized education that homeschooling provides and how you can live in that freedom instead of being burdened by the expectations of others. One of the family's mottos is "We strive for progress, not perfection" running the race that God marked out for us by being faithful in what He has called us to do and leaving the results to Him. Katie is also a previous guest on the Homeschool Conversations with Humility and Doxology podcast, so check out my past interview with Katie here: https://www.humilityanddoxology.com/katie-waalkes Katie's original video: https://youtu.be/W_UDPQv9u80?si=RWDknz2ZNx4e-iiA ~Resources Mentioned ~ Feelings Chart- https://lifeinthemundane.com/morning-menu-resources/ Keeping The Peace Bible Study- https://store.notconsumed.com/collections/bible-studies/products/making-peace-bible-study?aff=40 Count yourself calm- https://amzn.to/3yBeyA3 Made 2 Homeschool- https://www.made2homeschool.com/a/2147529243/KNcPGL3t Welcome to the special summer guest podcast series!
