Joy invited Neil to delve deeper into how we can apply mindfulness to our every day. It is not some sort of lofty goal to achieve greater ease, space or inner peace but a practice that you can cultivate over time to feel much more comfortable in your skin, centred and in alignment.
Simply put we can fuse this way of being into our DNA to truly witness our human potential and move though this time with less stress, disruption, and exhaustion as we floss our brains. It truly is the hygiene of the mind and a must listen episode.
Quick story - my friend and I in our 20s went to see Deepak Chopra to "fix us" and "get" some wisdom. We came out of the event totally clueless, confused and could not understand what he was saying. Years later I discovered mindfulness and can honesty say that this simple practice is the key to living a fully integrated life and comes before all the concepts. I laugh now as we were trying to apply some kind of external wisdom band-aid well before we even fully understood ourselves.
