Joey Chestnut v. Nathan's Hotdogs, Manchester City Legal Saga, Lucas Paquetá Betting Allegations, & Dan Goes to Cricket
Manage episode 423682435 series 3445519
On this episode of Conduct Detrimental: THE Sports Law Podcast, Dan Lust (@SportsLawLust) is joined by Bryce Goodwyn (@BryceGoodwyn), Ben Kaner (@BenKaner), and Logan Hughes (@loganchughes23) to go across the board to discuss everything from professional eating to soccer/football, another betting scandal, and so much more.
Joey Chestnut has yet to lose in the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest since 2015. But with the 2024 hot dog eating contest less than a month away, Chestnut's sponsorship with Impossible Foods has officially prevented the 16-time champion from being a part of the event for the first time in nearly 20 years.
Even crazier though is the story on Manchester City and their legal action against the Premier League over Associated Party Transaction (APT) regulations, while they face 115 financial charges FROM the Premier League.
West Ham United’s playmaker Lucas Paqueta is accused of getting himself deliberately booked in four Premier League matches across two seasons. There might be a sports betting epidemic beginning in front of us.
Dan also shares his experience at the USA v. India Cricket T20 World Cup match this week.
It's a jam-packed week with some new guests, we hope you enjoy!
