Hey friend!

Does your home decor look tired and dated?

If you answered YES, you may be wondering what to do about it? In this episode I'm sharing 5 ways to assess the change that needs to happen in your home and the plan you should follow before you purchase a single thing!
Here's where to start:

1. Identify the purpose of the room: What do you WANT the room to do for you and ask yourself if it's doing it with the items you currently have.

2. Inspiration & dreaming: We are not just gatherers of beautiful pictures, but students on the hunt for using these beautiful pictures as sources of information. Listen to episode 266 about how to use Pinterest to identify your design style for more information.

3. Identify the goals you have for the room: much like identifying the purpose of the room but assigning your skillset to the desired changes. Do you have the skillset to transform the room the way you want to?

4. Make a plan: All of the steps before are part of the plan, but in this case I want you to think about the END goal, the end destination. What is the big picture of how you want your room to look, feel and function and work backward from there using the previous steps.

5. Permission to play: Play, experiment, have fun and use these two filters when you feel scared of making a change: ask yourself 'What is the worst that can happen?' and assess the exit strategy if you need to fix it. But also ask 'What is the best that can happen?'
