The Miami Hurricanes have beaten the Florida State Seminoles 36-14, snapping a three game losing skid in the rivalry!

The Hurricanes managed to wear out the Seminoles on the ground with 230 rushing yards. Damien Martinez led the way with a season high 148 yards and 2 touchdowns. Mark Fletcher added another 71 yards and a score. The Hurricanes were able to get a comfortable win despite no explosive plays from Cam Ward and the passing game. Ward finished with 208 yards and no touchdown passes, but he did catch a fourth quarter touchdown throw from tight end Elijah Arroyo.

Miami’s defense bounced back, but was it fools gold, coming against one of the worst offenses in America? The Seminoles are now 1-7. The Hurricanes assured that Noles coach Mike Norvell will have his third losing season in five years in Tallahassee. The Hurricanes are champions of Florida for the first time in 20 years.
