The Hospice Podcast is produced by St John‘s Hospice, based in Lancaster and providing services across the South Lakes, North Lancashire and parts of North Yorkshire. This is your gateway to the field of palliative care. Each episode takes on a different topic, discussed by our highly experienced staff. After the last year, many more people are open to discussing the topic of dying – whether this is in a hospice, hospital or at home. More and more people are becoming aware and open to the idea of receiving palliative care from a hospice and all that entails. St John’s Hospice has been providing outstanding palliative care now for 35 years, not only on our inpatient ward but out in the community. We are often contacted for our advice and thoughts on the many facets of palliative care. So, we have created this podcast to share our learning with you – whether you work in health and social care, are training to do so, know someone who is receiving or you yourself are receiving palliative care – The Hospice Podcast aims to support you through hearing from those delivering this vital service.
