Intercessory Prayer for others (Version 1)

Lord, we give you permission to use us in any way You desire today. And, we ask you for the grace to see You in action, so we can give You all the glory.

Into thy hands, Blessed Mother, I commend the bodies and souls of (... name those you are praying for)

I ask thee to provide for them and to protect them. I ask thee to protect them from the evil one. I ask thee enlighten their mind, strengthen their will, and refrain their appetites by grace.

Blessed Mother, St. Joseph, and St. Michael, call down from Heaven the legions of holy angels under your command to protect them; I ask of you all the things I ask of their guardian angels. Guardian angels of all those I am praying for, under thy intellectual and volitional protection I place their bodies.

I ask thee to illumine their mind and refrain their appetites. I ask thee to strengthen their cogitative power, their memory and their imagination. Help them to remember the things they should and not onremember the things they should not. Help them to associate the things they should and not to associate the things they should not. Give them good clear images in their imagination.

I ask thee to drive away all the demons that might affect them while they sleep (and throughout the course of the day). (Help them to sleep and, if thou should deem it prudent, direct their dreams. Help them to arise refreshed).
