Ruhn Danaan’s pleasurable evening is rudely interrupted by the arrival of his grumpy cousin, Cormac, Crown Prince of the Avallen Fae and newly betrothed to Bryce. Bryce does her best to get her parents out of town before they hear the news, but not before her efforts are interrupted by a badly beaten Ithan Holstrom. Though Bryce demands Ithan stay with her and Hunt since he’s been kicked out of his pack, Hunt is not so enthused – and Ithan doesn’t make it easy for Hunt, either. And when a new day dawns in Lunathion, neither Bryce nor Hunt are very welcoming to the visitors who intrude on their work day and threaten their brief season of peace.
