Hour 1

It’s one of the final Feel Good Fridays of summer but the Mets had a Thursday only the Mets are capable of having. Boomer says the Mets created their own fiasco. Gio doesn’t have a big problem with the “Hawk Tuah” girl throwing out the first pitch but agrees that the Mets made their bed on this one. Gio thinks the moral police are taking this too far but also says the Mets should have been more aware of what the reaction would be. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and begins with the awful Mets loss. A Phillies rookie became the first rookie to ever hit for the cycle. MLB is considering a 6 inning minimum for starting pitchers. There was a miscommunication on the Patriots preseason broadcast and new head coach Jerod Mayo took a shot at Matthew Judon. Mike Tomlin is going to get his first look at Russell Wilson. Shannon Sharpe is not so sure about one of Oscar De La Hoya’s theories and neither are we. In the final segment of the hour, we discuss WFAN legends with the Yankees giving away a John and Suzyn shirt next week. We discuss potential upcoming Boomer and Gio live dates.

Hour 2

Boomer and Jerry remember a recent conversation very differently than how Jerry remembers it. Will Boomer and Gio be at Jerry’s charity golf outing? They will now and we open bids for callers to golf with the guys. Jerry returns for an update but first we get another, higher bid. The Mets walked 10 A’s and hit one in a loss to the A’s. Daniel Jones will return to game action tomorrow. Drake Maye looked good in a preseason game but Boomer thinks the Patriots should still let him sit and learn. The Bills have lost Matt Milano for at least a few months. In the final segment of the hour, we are confused by a text BT sent Gio. Boomer and Gio defend Eddie and his drops.

Hour 3

Daniel Jones will be back on the field tomorrow after tearing his ACL last year. Gio believes Jones will never be a top QB but points out that plenty of good QBs have had great moments and success without being a superstar. Boomer thinks the Bears can be this year’s Texans. If Sam Darnold can’t have a career renaissance under his current circumstances then it will never happen. Jerry returns for an update and has clips from Jalen Brunson discussing his contract. The Mets lost to the A’s and Howie Rose sounded annoyed. Evan was sick yesterday but still scored the game and recorded a Rico Brogna, though unconventionally. There was a misleading Patriots headline. Sean Payton won’t name a starting QB. In the final segment of the hour, we wonder which guests will join BT & Sal and Evan & Tiki at Fanatics Fest today. Boomer and Gio make their top 5 personal wish lists.

Hour 4

Gio takes an even closer look at some of the non-athlete guests at Fanatics Fest. How would Boomer describe Anthony Gallo’s lifestyle? Yesterday’s standout caller Brady from Newport Beach Beach, California calls back in to talk about Hulk Hogan and a whole lot of other stuff. Jerry is here for his final update of the day but starts with audio from Brady that he was able to turn around quickly. The Yankees will be back in action tonight and begin the day tied with the Orioles for the AL East lead. Carlos Mendoza called out his pitchers for throwing too many non-competitive pitches. Boomer thinks Daniel Jones looks good with a beard. Joe Benigno has had some strong thoughts on preseason football for 30+ years. The Moment of The Day involves mutants and zombies eyeing certain stars. In the final segment of the show, Boomer looks at the Mets schedule and asks if they will get back on track or completely fall apart. Gio does not see the 2024 Mets making another run. Then Gio tells Boomer about Nicolas Cage being cast as John Madden in an upcoming biopic.
