Elaborate Lies & A Reading Festival Review
Manage episode 182733720 series 1183936
It’s a new episode of the Bristol Beats Club comedy podcast. Listen now!
Ladies and gents… how do you feel about Reading Festival?
And we mean how do you honestly feel about it here, all things considered.
Because on the one hand, it’s a fantastic line-up in an easy to get to location filled with a shed-load of debauchery.
And on the other, it’s a playground full of fourteen-year-olds who will not hesitate to urinate on you.
So which is it? Drunken delight or pre-pubescent purgatory?
Check our our Reading festival review in the above podcast and find out what we think.
This week’s podcast also includes a glorious discussion surrounding camomile tea, a quick anecdote concerning PC World and some advice on what to do should you encounter medical issues on a Sunday morning.
That’s all interspersed with tales from this week’s overarching theme – which was lies getting out of hand. We hear from Andy, who faked going to University, Francis, who sometimes goes by the name Graham and, somewhat unorthodoxly, Barack Obama. Because apparently the American president is from Kenya.
Before we leave you, a quick nod to this week’s featured musical artists, whose tracks have been remove for legal reasons (wanna hear the music? Then listen live on Wednesdays, 9-10pm). Alas, we digress. Featured artists this week were…
- All Tvvins – Thank You
- Blossoms – Cut Me & I’ll Bleed
- Jungle – Julia
- Arcade Fire – Sprawl II
- Two Door Cinema Club – Sun
- Swiss Lips – Books
- The Naked & Famous – Punching In A Dream
- The Vaccines – Handsome
Have a listen now, we love having every single one of you on board. Oh, and before we go – we’ll be talking wardrobe malfunctions next week, so send us your related anecdotes and get yourself featured on the show! Email your tales through to info@bristolbeatsclub.com. Then for God’s sake, subscribe to the podcast on iTunes.
