#008: A Rising Tide Raises All Ships with Justin North

Justin North enlisted in the Marine Corps in 2003 and served until he was admitted to the United States Naval Academy, where he studied political science and played rugby. After graduation, he returned to the Corps as an infantry officer, where he served all over the world, including a combat deployment to Afghanistan in 2013. Upon leaving the Marines, Justin attended Notre Dame Law School, where he was President of the Military and Veterans Law Society. During law school, Justin interned in the City Attorney’s office of South Bend, Indiana, and worked as a mentor in the South Bend Veterans Treatment Court. Upon graduation from law school, Justin and his wife moved to Castle Rock, Colorado, and Justin obtained his law license.
Prior to joining Gessler Blue Law, Justin worked as a litigation intern for DaVita Kidney Care, as a law clerk at the law firm of Fox Rothschild, and as an associate attorney at the law firm of McConaughy and Sarkissian. Justin also previously owned and operated a small solo-practitioner law firm called True North Law.
In addition to practicing law, Justin serves as Principal and General Counsel & Compliance at Growth Vue Capital. He’s also a passionate outdoorsman, and when he isn’t in the office, he can typically be found in the Colorado mountains with his wife and daughter, either skiing, camping, hiking, or fishing. Justin is also an experienced poker player and an avid reader.
