Adrian Cummins, Chief Executive of the Restaurants Association of Ireland, joins Karl Fitzpatrick, to explain how there has been 600 closures of food-led businesses since the reintroduction of the 13% VAT rate for hospitality businesses, the eroding margins which restaurants are faced with and why the failure to reduce the VAT rate to 9% and increasing the minimum wage in next week’s Budget could lead to a further 1000 closures.
