Jesus for Everyone: Understanding the Gospel
Manage episode 439068988 series 3185199
The Gospel according to Luke is the longest and most thorough account of Jesus' life that we have. A key attribute of this gospel is the way Jesus is portrayed interacting with people of all kinds of backgrounds and walks of life, and showing them that he's come to seek and save the lost. Jesus truly is for everyone.
Reflection Questions:
- In what areas of your faith do you feel like you’re “playing the notes” rather than “performing” with deep understanding? How can you shift toward a more meaningful and intentional practice of your faith?
- The parable of the Good Samaritan shows that loving our neighbor isn’t about defining who they are but how we treat them. Who in your life might be considered a “neighbor” in need of love and mercy, and how can you take action to show them compassion this week?
- Martha’s service to Jesus was well-intentioned, but Jesus praised Mary for prioritizing time with Him. How can you make more space in your daily life to sit at Jesus’ feet, deepening your relationship with Him?
- Knowing Jesus is described as the key to eternal life, but this knowledge should lead to transformation. In what ways have you experienced transformation in your life because of your relationship with Jesus, and where do you feel the need for further change?
