Merry Christmas! On this joyous day, Pastor Leslie talks about the duties and work that goes into the celebration. But we refocus on the meaning when thinking about baptism: "Sustain (your name) with the gift of the Holy Spirit, the spirit of wisdom and understanding; the spirit of counsel and of might; the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord; the spirit of joy in your presence, both now and forever; child of God you have been sealed by the Holy Spirit and marked with the cross of Christ forever." The stress and challenge of the holiday can be put into perspective with the reminder of these words. Care for all of God's children as if they are our brothers and sisters -- because they are, Pastor Leslie says.
