Cream City Digest clears up some voter misinformation with Debra Cronmiller of The League of Women Voters of Wisconsin
Manage episode 447907518 series 3348145
Today’s Cream City Digest clears up a little misinformation on the voting process for young people/college students after an egregious text went out on October 10th telling this group of voters that if they violated WI Statutes they could end up in jail or with fines of $10,000. Clearly intimidation, which itself is illegal. So I called on Debra Cronmiller, Executive Director of the League of Women Voters of Wisconsin to help clear this up and share the FACTS.
If you have, or know of, a young voter who may have gotten this text, or who may be confused about what they can or can’t do, you’ll want to share this short Digest.
Also in this episode: a sneak peek at what I’ll have coming next Wednesday in lieu of a guest, and also a recommendation for something that may help with the anxiety in the run up to the election next week. (Hint: you'll want to be sitting down for both of these!)
