How did the human brain (or any other kind of brain, for that matter) come to be? Most people are so used to hearing that ALL the wonders of biology are the product of evolution, that they don’t stop to ponder the details. Is ‘unguided evolution’ a reasonable scientific explanation for the origin of the stunningly complex, inextricably integrated, and apparently over-engineered human brain?
