Meet Joe Edlhuber, the Georgia-based former schoolteacher turned entrepreneur, whose love for road trips and national parks led him to be part of Park Hats. Imagine cruising 1400 miles to Albuquerque and embarking on an 18-day adventure through seven breathtaking national parks. These experiences played a significant role in the creation of Park Hats after his brother-in-law and artist came up with the first design.
As we journey through Joe's story, we uncover the formation of Park Hats. From a hat inspired by Sequoia National Park to the best-selling Smokey Mountain Park hat. Park Hat creations are a celebration of America's national parks. Joe has a passion for teaching the young generation and that has not stopped since stepping away from the formal classroom. Listen as Joe talks about his involvement with robotics, and coding. Of course there is the story of his first car, a 1991 GEO Tracker.
As our conversation deepens, we explore the dream of an RV adventure across the USA, and the anticipation of an Alaskan cruise, revealing the importance of dreams and bucket lists. Joe's anecdote about his grandfather's adventures in Cuba adds an enriching layer to the conversation. As we conclude, we touch upon Joe's ongoing initiative to partner with smaller organizations outside of national parks, spotlighting his commitment to giving back to the community. So, join us on this exciting expedition, as we navigate the roads less travelled, one hat at a time.
