In which I discuss an issue that I regularly encounter as Dinnie in Virginnie as I explore different places and events throughout Virginia. If the vibes aren't vibin, this is your reminder that you can just leave. It's a lot easier when it's a free or low cost event, but it's such a relief knowing that you don't have to stay miserable at something that you thought you would enjoy. Instead just take the L and move on to something else, possibly something you already know you enjoy.
Don't torture yourself in an event or talking to someone you just don't vibe with. It's okay to leave. Virginia is great, but it isn't perfect. You'll always come across situations that you don't thoroughly enjoy so if you immediately sense it's not for you, just go.
Whether the event was really bad, or it just wasn't for you personally, you don't have to stay for the duration or for much time at all.
