Larissa Feeney started out working in hospitality, took a job as a receptionist in an accounting firm and studied for her accountancy qualifications in her spare time. Fast forward to today and she is CEO of Kinore.com, one of Ireland’s Top 20 accountancy practices, which is leading a disruption of the financial sector by establishing the country’s first online, remote-first finance and business services firm.
Larissa’s journey from receptionist to CEO is marked by her creative vision and commitment to innovation. Driven by a desire to challenge traditional accountancy norms, Larissa founded Kinore with the vision of creating a digital first, client-focused practice.
Technology has been a cornerstone of the Kinore offering, enabling the company to capitalise on the shift towards digital professional services. Advances in customer relationship management and cloud technologies have enabled Kinore to service its clients more efficiently than traditional accountancy practices. This technological advantage is a key differentiator for Kinore, allowing it to offer superior service quality and responsiveness.
Larissa is a passionate advocate for female entrepreneurship. She actively supports early-stage female entrepreneurs through the ACORNS programme and is President of the Donegal Women in Business Network. And she was shortlisted for the ‘Image Businesswoman of the Year’ Award in both 2017 and 2018.
