The Bite: Luke 1:39-80
The Digest
We see that what the angel told Zechariah and in his doubt came to pass just as the angel said.
We see that John’s life was necessary to be the forerunner of Jesus. He was setting the stage for the Savior telling people they needed to repent and we should do the same thing.
We need to be warning people of the coming of Jesus by repentance of sins and salvation so that when he comes this time they will be with Him.
We also see that before God uses John he takes him in the wilderness to grow him and prepare him for ministry.
Where have you seen your doubt turn into a later promise of God?
How has doubt caused delays in your growth?
Have you ever experienced an wilderness season that set you up for more growth?
The Chew
God fulfilled his promises even when there was doubt. We must repent of our doubt and trust. Help my unbelief, Lord
