With a background in non-profits, her career started in San Francisco, an LGBTQ friendly state, she now lives in Minnesota and is still heavily involved in the LGBTQ community. Growing up, she was a tomboy, and she leans more towards a “masculine” style - the distinction in her case is that she never felt like a man; it was the clothes that society says are appropriate that made her feel boxed-in.
