Tune een fa yeddi bout Giving Tuesday 2020 and how fa gee fa hep de Gullah/Geechee. Annually, folks gear up for Thanksgiving weekend to not only consume large amounts of food and drinks, but to also be consumers during Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The Tuesday after Thanksgiving has been designated "Giving Tuesday" by philanthropists and people are encouraged to support non-profits with donations on that day. Many of these donations are doubled by foundations that are willing to give in support of the same causes. They match each dollar with a dollar. So, this year, the Gullah/Geechee Nation's leaders are calling on global supporters to give the the non-profits and fundraising efforts that Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation (www.QueenQuet.com) will highlight on this episode of Gullah/Geechee Riddim Radio.
