In last week's episode we discussed how to evaluate whether it's time to consider a change in real estate brokerage, and in this week's episode it felt like a natural progression to talk through the pros and cons of our current brokerage, eXp Realty.

This is an unfiltered "be a fly on the wall" style discussion and we think it would be helpful to anyone who is thinking through where they are and where they want to be, regardless of the brokerage brand! (Disclaimer: This is a unique episode for us about eXp that felt worthwhile to share with the segment of agents who might want this information, but will not be a recurring/recruiting theme in this podcast.)

Specific things we discuss include:

  • Why we both moved from Keller Williams to eXp
  • How we've leveraged the eXp platform to run a national team on our own terms - a strategy that is low risk, high reward, and high impact
  • The benefit of cultivating the exact type of community that we need for our own success
  • Having the flexibility to shift our focus at any time, whether that's production, team-building, recruiting, teaching, building courses, or podcasting!
  • The benefit of being with a national brand to get + give more agent to agent referrals
  • The pros and cons of a virtual environment
  • Some of the cons we dealt with initially surrounding eXp's brand image, market share, and eXp World
