- Bringing in Elaine as a business partner: Tamara emphasizes that bringing Elaine into the business was one of the biggest positive impacts they made. They had worked together for a couple of years before, and Elaine's energy and passion helped the business grow significantly.
Implementing online auctions during COVID-19: When faced with the challenge of COVID-19 lockdowns, Elaine and I quickly pivoted and introduced online auctions. Despite the initial uncertainty, we trusted our ability to adapt and embraced the new process. This decision proved successful and helped keep the business going during difficult times.
Streamlining processes and investing in technology: Tamara highlights the importance of having efficient processes in place and regularly reviewing and improving them. We focused on streamlining their processes, documenting them, and utilizing technology to automate tasks and improve productivity. Keeping up with technological advancements and adapting to changes was also emphasized.
Balancing business and personal life: Tamara mentions the challenges of juggling a business, family, and personal life. She shares how she had to rearrange her life as her children grew and emphasizes the importance of being organized and stepping outside her comfort zone to achieve her goals.
Focusing on marketing strategies: We employed successful marketing tactics that brought in business and contributed to our business growth.
