Cheapest place you can buy this book (at time of writing) AND quick to deliver, both of which agree with my ethos, a 'Humming' productive life should be accessible to everyone. As an Amazon Associate, I also get something little from Amazon when you purchase from this special link. It's not much (4%, which is like 40c on a $10 book) and costs my listeners nothing, but powers me enough to continue to deliver the best possible content. Deepest thanks... if only you can just see how grateful I am right now :) I feel financially silly for saying this, but you can, of course, even borrow from your local library! Or just buy a cheap copy for yourself for now and maybe pay it forward to someone else whom you think might benefit. Good things become better when shared, right?
Transcript**:
Close your eyes and think of a big task that's making you feel a little nervous. You don't know what to do. Your heart beats fast at the thought of it. You can't see the light at the end of the tunnel yet. You're overwhelmed and that can work against you.
That's no good.
Now open your eyes- I'm going to show you how you can tackle that big task without feeling overwhelmed at all. An inspo I got from Best Seller book Atomic Habits by James Clear.
Back to your big task, break it up into little subtasks. What is the first sub-task to getting it done? Good. Work on that only and put all the other tasks away for now. Hide them. Don't even look at them.
How do you feel now?
Better?
For me, the idea of starting this podcast was so overwhelming from finding a service provider to designing a podcast cover, researching, scripting. I would have just abandoned the project altogether.
But, by making it easy for myself by focusing just on the next step, nothing further, I've just created episode 4.
Now, I'm off to the next episode. You with me?
