This week, the Idiots begin by talking about streaming services, and the movie Boiling Point.

Boiling Point is a single-shot film that takes place over the course of an evening in a restaurant, and it’s better than anything Hollywood puts out.

Did it win any Oscars?

Nope.

Was it nominated?

Nope.

Because originality is punished by Hollywood.

Moving on: Disney+ had the easiest job in the world. All they had to do was launch, say, “Look at our catalog,” and rake in the money.

Instead, they decided to lose money by sinking hundreds of millions of dollars into content no one wants.

Even better, they helped ruin Star Wars, an IP that had been beloved for decades.

(But is that love deserved? nathan doesn’t think so…)

On the news side of things, Ron DeSantis wants to be president. But, if he runs the country like he runs his state, things would be no bueno.

His handling of state investments—Bud Light, Russian assets—ain’t the best.

Finally: Republicans demanded the Justice Department appoint David Weiss as special counsel to investigate Hunter Biden. They got their wish. So naturally, they’re unhappy.
