In this episode, Afeez is in the hot seat because he is being interviewed by his guest Stan Durk. Stan jumps right into things without any hesitation and asks Afeez for some background on what piqued his interest electric cars and unicycles. Stan also inquires about the start of the It’s Electric podcast in 2018.
- Afeez explains that 6 years ago he was in Venice and saw a man driving a scooter which was quiet and clean. He went online to do research, came across Tesla, and became fascinated. He also fell in love with their mission statement: To accelerate the advent of sustainable transportation by bringing compelling mass market electric cars to market as soon as possible.
- Searched for alternatives due to the price point with Tesla and found other available brands of electric cars (BMW, VW, Nissan Jaguar, Renault . . . etc)
- Went for a test drive and became hooked on not only electric cars but all different types of electric vehicles (EV)
- Afeez wanted to share his personal mission statement with anyone who would listen.
