Is it okay to appoint a known liar to a public office?

Heather and Joe had an opportunity to reconsider appointing a known liar to our budget committee yesterday, but they refused. It is bad enough to have someone who lied about her vote to raise Commissioner's pay as a budget committee member return to the budget committee but how about having Lane County Commissioners like Joe and Heather that are okay appointing someone without integrity? What else are they okay to just let go? (By the way, Heather and Joe also voted for that pay increase.) Eugene is "moving ahead" with making our roads more congested and the liberal elites think the answer to high gas prices is for the working poor to buy a $60,000 electric vehicle.
