This July VOCA (the federal Victims of Crimes Act) which funds services for people who find themselves homeless due to domestic violence is slated to lose 45% of its funding. In this episode we address what can be done. For this, Laura is joined by two survivors of domestic violence-related homelessness, who are now policy advocates. Teniecka Drake is with Rainbow Services and Yenni Rivera Martinez, with the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence. Also joining us is Krista Colon, Senior Director of Public Policy & Communications Strategies for the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence.
