The gathering of two families in a Calhoun County courtroom just before Thanksgiving 2024 brought an official end to the process of adoption for four children and their parents.
It doesn't take long - just a few minutes of ceremonial speeches before Judge John Hallacy signed the papers making it official. Then the celebrating can begin.
