BYU struggled to find its rhythm, enduring a scoreless stretch of nearly 4 1/2 minutes and managing just one basket in their final 9 attempts, while also committing three turnovers in the last 2 minutes.

Initially missing their first five shots, all from beyond the arc, BYU rallied to sink six of their next nine 3-point attempts, displaying their shooting prowess but ultimately falling short against a determined Iowa State squad.
