The Detroit Tigers Beat the Kansas City Royals 6-5 in Major League Baseball scores. Detroit Tigers Matt Vierling hit a go-ahead 3-run home run to break a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the 7th inning. Mark Canha and Kerry Carpenter both hit RBI singles to even the score at 3, part of the 5-run seventh inning for the Detroit Tigers. Casey Mize pitched well going 5 innings allowing two earned runs and three runs total. Detroit Tigers defense committed four errors on the night but the Detroit Tigers were able to outlast the Kansas City Royals.
