Jesus gave credit to John the Baptist's ministry. He confirmed that John was the fulfillment of Malachi's prophecy, and declared that the anointing of Elijah rested upon Him. By recognizing John's ministry, Jesus gave us a clear example that as leaders we must give credit where credit is due instead of hoarding all the praise for ourselves.
